In furtherance of its steadfast commitment to strengthening child protection mechanisms at the woreda level, Mahibere Hiwot for Social Development (MSD) has efficiently provided essential office supplies to its crucial governmental partner, the Women, Children, and Social Affairs (WCSA) Offices of North Mecha, Bahir Dar Zuria, and Chagni Town, facilitated through its Bahir Dar area office.
The assistance package included desktop computers, printers, office desks, high-back chairs, and various stationery items such as computer paper, pens, agendas, and file folders. These resources are specifically intended to enhance the child case management system at the grassroots level and ensure more efficient service provision for vulnerable children.
The heads of the respective WCSA offices and logistics officers from the woredas attended the handover ceremony. A productive dialogue took place during the event on how to effectively utilize the materials for their designated purpose and bolster the overall execution of the Child Protection (CP) project within their domains.
The WCSA representatives expressed profound gratitude to MSD for promptly addressing their critical requirements and aligning the support with their current operational needs. They commended MSD’s ongoing efforts in child protection and pledged full dedication to actively participate in and support the project in the days ahead.
This initiative plays a crucial role in MSD’s overarching strategy to enhance the capacity of governmental structures and establish sustainable, community-centered child protection systems across the regions under its purview.
