MSD has launched the EpiC OVC Program in Mekele, reaffirming its commitment to support vulnerable children and families affected by HIV in Tigray. The event brought together PSI, the Regional Health Bureau, Finance Bureau, Women and Social Affairs, and other government partners.
MSD’s Executive Director welcomed participants and underscored the organization’s dedication to restoring essential HIV services. Mr. Fisha Birhane from the Regional HIV Prevention and Control Directorate highlighted rising HIV concerns and called for strong coordination to strengthen testing, treatment linkage, adherence, and viral suppression.
The project team presented the program scope and early performance results. Participants appreciated MSD’s return and emphasized the need to accelerate lifesaving interventions and ensure strong community-facility referrals. Stakeholders committed to working together to guarantee uninterrupted HIV services.
