Mahibere Hiwot for Social Development held the first-quarter performance review of the Uplifting Voices: Advancing the Dignity and Empowerment of Women and Girls in Ethiopia project

The meeting brought together government stakeholders, VSLA representatives, MSD regional and head office staff, UNFPA regional representatives, and the UNFPA Country Office Program Specialist. The opening was delivered by Ato Sileabat Sewagegn from the ANRS Labor and Skills Development Bureau, followed by keynote remarks from Ato Tilaye Gizachew, Executive Director of MSD.

The closing session was addressed by Ato Asmamaw of the ANRS Women, Children, and Youth Affairs Bureau. Dr. Akiyo, UNFPA Program Specialist, joined virtually to present the project update.

The review highlighted strong collaboration and reinforced the shared commitment to advancing the dignity, protection, and empowerment of women and girls.
