We are thrilled to share the exciting news of a remarkable renovation project at Hawjano High School in Alamata Town! Thanks to the generous support from USAID through the Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI), Mahibere Hiwot for Social Development (MSD) has successfully undertaken significant efforts to restore this beloved school, which was severely damaged during the Simen conflict.

🏫 Our Achievements:

  • Comprehensive Renovation: We have renovated the entire 22 school compound and the ICT room, breathing new life into the school’s infrastructure.
  • Essential Repairs: Our team repaired critical infrastructure, including school furniture, doors, and windows, creating a safe and welcoming environment for students.
  • Classroom Restoration: We restored classrooms and other vital facilities, ensuring that students can thrive in an environment conducive to learning.

✨ More Than Just Renovation

This project represents more than just physical repairs. It is a step towards rebuilding hope, fostering social cohesion, and supporting the community’s future through education. By revitalizing Hawjano High School, we are investing in the students’ futures and helping to heal the community.

🤝 Special Thanks

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to USAID-OTI for their generous support. Their contribution has made this incredible transformation possible, and we are proud to see Hawjano High School once again standing as a beacon of hope and learning in Alamata Town.

Together, we are not just rebuilding a school—we are restoring dreams and shaping brighter futures.
