Mahibere Hiwot for Social Development (MSD), in partnership with the Tigray Regional Health Bureau and the USAID Caring for Vulnerable Children (CVC) project, successfully hosted the Regional Level Joint Project Performance Review Meeting at Lebanos Hotel in Mekele, Tigray. The gathering provided an essential platform for stakeholders to review project milestones, address challenges, and collaborate on strategies to improve support for vulnerable children.
The event commenced with an inspiring welcoming address by Tilaye Gizachew, Executive Director of MSD, who emphasized the significance of partnerships in creating sustainable and impactful solutions for vulnerable communities.
A key highlight was the keynote address delivered by Mr. Fisha Berhe, Director of the HIV Prevention and Control Department at the Tigray Bureau of Health. He underlined the critical need for strengthened collaboration to tackle pressing challenges faced by children and families in the region.
Mr. Muzey, MSD’s Tigray Regional Project Coordinator, presented the FY’25 plan and Quarter 1 performance. His comprehensive presentation highlighted key achievements, lessons learned, and areas for improvement, sparking an engaging discussion among stakeholders. Regional representatives shared their insights, raised pertinent questions, and exchanged valuable experiences during the session.
The meeting concluded with closing remarks from both Mr. Fisha Berhe and Executive Director Tilaye Gizachew, reaffirming their shared commitment to advancing the program’s objectives. They emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration, community engagement, and accountability in ensuring the project’s continued success.
The CVC project, generously funded by USAID PEPFAR through FHI360, plays a pivotal role in addressing the needs of vulnerable children and fostering resilience within communities. This meeting underscored the transformative impact of the project and the dedication of its partners.
