On October 30, 2024, Mahiberehiwot for Social Development (MSD) proudly participated in a significant national session held at the Skylight Hotel. Organized by the Food and Land Use Coalition in collaboration with the World Resources Institute (WRI), this event was a pivotal moment for promoting sustainable and regenerative agriculture in Ethiopia.
The session brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and various local and national implementing organizations. These experts shared their rich experiences and insights on a range of topics, including advanced agricultural practices, climate-smart agriculture, the use of organic fertilizers, and the importance of food diversity. Each of these elements plays a crucial role in enhancing food security in our country.
Throughout the event, MSD had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions and network with the organizers and other key implementing partners. These connections are invaluable as we look to the future and seek to diversify agriculture-based livelihoods in ways that are both sustainable and regenerative. Our engagement in this session underscores our commitment to contributing positively towards Ethiopia’s agricultural landscape and food security.
