Mahibere Hiwot for Social Development Hosts Fourth CSO Breakfast Meeting

Mahibere Hiwot for Social Development (MSD) successfully hosted the fourth round of its CSO Breakfast Meeting today at its headquarters in Addis Ababa. The event served as a vital platform for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to exchange best practices and share experiences critical to their collective missions.

The meeting, attended by a broad spectrum of delegates from various CSOs across the country, was led by key representatives from the Authority of Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations and the Ethiopian Civil Society Council (ECSOC).

MSD’s Executive Director, Tilaye Gizachew, kicked off the event with a warm welcome
and presented an insightful overview of the organization’s profile, including its core experiences and major initiatives. He highlighted the importance of collaboration among CSOs in addressing the pressing issues facing communities today.

A key segment of the meeting was the presentation by Mr. Tegegn Desale, MSD’s IT focal point, who showcased the organization’s ICT integration platform. This was followed by a presentation from Ms. Kidest, Director of Monitoring & Evaluation and Knowledge Management at MSD, who shared the success of the Good Practice Gallery and highlighted community practices, with a particular focus on the Child Domestic Work (CDW) project.

The meeting concluded with a constructive exchange of feedback and discussions on future directions for the CSO community. Ato Teref, Executive Director of ECSOC, provided the closing remarks, emphasizing the need for continued collaboration and the importance of such forums in driving impactful change.
